**Qantas
Introduces international online check-in**
Qantas
has followed the lead of other airlines by introducing international
online check-in and advance seat selection. Customers can check in
Top
tier frequent flyers, (platinum, Gold and Silver) will also have the
ability to choose their seat online.
**Ryanair to shut website for ten hours** Ryanair passengers must check in online
in advance of the airline’s website closing for 10 hours.The site will
close from 1900 on 24th June Until
0500 the following morning due to ‘essential upgrade maintenance’.
Web
check in passengers travelling on Thursday,25th June must ensure that they
have checked in online before 1800 on Wednesday 24th
June Ryanair’s website will not be available for passenger bookings or
other passenger services from 1900 due to the upgrade.
Passengers who booked flights on or before 21st May and
selected to use airport check in will be unaffected and can check in at
the airport as normal.
**REMINDER**
All
Ryanair bookings, including passengers travelling with babies and
checked-in baggage, will move to online check-in and `bag drop’ only from 20May. This is part of the airline’s strategy
to phase out the use of check-in desks at all of its airports by 1 October. From
Wednesday 20May Ryanair will
no longer accept bookings for unaccompanied minors under 16 years old and
all new bookings
will require passengers, including infants and those on domestic
flights, to hold a valid passport or
national identity card.
**BE CAREFUL**
A £40 re-issue fee will be
introduced for passengers who arrive at the airport without their
pre-printed web
check-in boarding card.
Etihad Airways – Moves to LHR

Effective from 30 Sep 2009. Etihad Airways will
operate to and from London Heathrow (LHR) terminal 4.
